Shared albums
Create an album for yourself or with others, and choose who can add photos and videos.
Create an album
- Open Albums in the sidebar and choose New album.
- Choose Just me to organize your own photos, or Together to invite people.
- Name it, then add photos and videos from your library. In a shared album, you can also upload new ones.
Invite people
- Invite someone by email: they join the album with a free MERCI! account.
- A Contributor adds photos and videos and can remove their own; a Viewer can view and download them.
- As the creator, you can change a member’s role, cancel an invitation or remove a member.
Album members see each other’s name and email address.
Whose storage is used
- Everything in a shared album counts toward its creator’s storage, whoever adds it.
- Adding a photo or video from your library puts a copy in the album: your original stays in your library, and the copy counts too.
Leave or delete an album
- Members can leave an album at any time; what they added stays in it.
- A member removed by the creator loses access; their contributions remain.
- Only the creator can delete a shared album: it is deleted for everyone with its contributions, and personal originals are kept.
- Deleting an account removes that person’s contributions and the albums they created.
