Share a file with a link

1. Open a file’s menu, choose Share, select an available expiry and create the link.
2. Once the link is ready, copy it and paste it anywhere.
3. Anyone with the complete link can download the file; they do not need a MERCI! account.

How long a link lives

1. Links last from 1 day to 30 days; 7 days is preselected.
2. A link always serves the file as it was when you created it; a newer version needs a new link.
3. Links have no password: send them only to people you trust with the file.

Shared-link limits

1. The same sharing controls are available at every storage tier.
2. The server rejects files above the sharing limit for the account before it creates a link.

Manage or revoke a link

1. Open Shared in the sidebar to see your links and their expiry dates.
2. Delete a link to retire it for good; the file itself stays untouched in your MERCI!.

Share many photos at once

A link shares a single file. To share many photos and videos with the same people, create a shared album.
