Restore from trash

1. Open Deleted in the sidebar and choose Restore next to anything you want back.
2. Files go back to their original folder; if that folder is gone too, they land at the top of My files.
3. Trashing a folder trashes everything inside it – restoring it brings the whole subtree back.

How long the trash keeps things

1. Deleted items stay 30 days, then they are removed for good.
2. Each item in Deleted shows how many days it has left.
3. An hourly cleanup permanently removes anything past its retention window.
4. “Empty trash” is immediate and permanent: MERCI! asks you to confirm first.

Recover your account

1. Forgot your password? Use “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page – the reset link sent to your email is valid for one hour.
2. No password at hand? Ask for a sign-in link or code by email instead.
3. Lost your 2FA phone? Use one of the recovery codes you saved when enabling it.

When a file cannot come back

Once the trash is emptied or the retention window passes, files are gone for good – the app can no longer restore them.
